WEEK 3

April 3, 2011

In our 1st game at Bonnabel the Dodgers scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the Cardinals 5 - 4. There were outstanding play by both teams. The Dodgers offense was led by Gallagher and Derrick Cusick, Gallagher 1 for 2, 1DBL, 2RBI. Cusick 1 for 3, 1DBL, 1RBI. Mark Hessler picked up the win for the Dodgers. The Cardinals were led by James Mills, Gwain Roundtree, and Eric Waguesback each getting 2 hits each. This game set the stage for all of our remaining games at Bonnabel.

Our 2nd game saw the Phillies score 5 runs in the top of the last to come from behind to beat the Marlins 6 - 2. Isaac Gilbert had 2 of the 7 hits for the Phillies. Ernest Neves picked up the win for the Phillies. An outstanding pitching performance by Ronnie Scharwarth and Lynn Brehm had the Marlins leading the Phillies 2 - 1 going into the top of the last inning, when the Phillies scored 5 runs, 4 unearned, to earn the victory.

Our 3rd game of the day saw the Victory All Stars scoring 6 runs in the last two innings to come back and tie the Yankees 10 to 10. Brian Triche was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI, and Brian Singleton was 1 for 1, 3W, 2R scored for the Victory All Stars. The Yankees were led by Andre Jackson, Rick Philibert, Glenn Schiaffino, and Kelly Wintz each with 2 hits apiece.

The game between the Cubs and the Tigers in Laplace was postponed due to a high school tournement that had to be completed. The game will be made up at the end of the season.

Week 2

March 27, 2011

In our 1st game of three at Bonnabel the Cubs beat the Phillies 12 - 3. The Cubs offense was led by Greg Cahill 2 for 3, Kevin Martin 2 for 3, Phil Leblanc 2 for 3, and Steve Ceravolo 1 for 2 with a HR. Harry Lorio picked up the win. The Phillies were led by Ernest Neves and Steve Ricks both 3 for 4.The Cubs go on the road next against the Tigers in Laplace.

Our 2nd game (all offense) saw the Yankees squeezing out a 15 - 14 win over the Marlins. Darrin Martin paced the Yankees with 2 HR. and 4 RBI, Reggie Lane 3 for 4, and Kelly Wintz 2 for 3. Jonas Vargas led the Marlins offense.Rick Philibert got the win for the Yankees.

Our 3rd game at Bonnabe saw the Northshore Dodgers defeating the Tigers (formaly the Rattlers) 11 - 3. The Dodgers offense was led by Jamie Dohto 4 for 4, Mike Wellman 2 for 3, and Derick Cusick 2 for 4. Mark Hessler picked up the win for the Dodgers. Leading the Tigers offense were Jerry Nelson and Angel Ramirez each going 2 for 3.

Our out of town game saw the Victory All Stars handing the Thibodaux Cardinals a win due to not enough players able to make the trip.

Week 1

March 20, 2011

In our first game of three at Bonnabel the Northshore Team defeated the Marlins 13 - 3. Northshore was led by Gallagher with 3 hits, and James Brosette and Wangerin with 2 hits each. Ed Vollenweider got the win. The Marlins were led by Lynne Brehm and Jonas Vargas
with 2 hits apiece.


Our second game at Bonnabel saw the Cubs blanking the Yankees 11 - 0. The 2010 Champs were led by Greg Cahill with 2 hits and John O'reilly with 4 RBI. Steve Ceravolo picked up the win. The Yankees scattered 4 hits on offense.


Our third game and most exciting game saw the Phillies and Victory play to a 7 - 7 tie game. The Phillies scored 4 runs in the top of the last inning to tie the Victory who had taken an early 4 run lead. The Phillies were led by Steve Rock who had 2 hits including 1 HR. and Neal Nadler 3 for 3. Victory was led by Brian Singleton 2 for 3 and Melvin Howard with 2 RBI.


Up in Laplace our 4th game of the day saw the Cardinals defeat the Tigers (formerly Rattlers) by the score 12 - 8. The Cardinals were led by Joe Lamartino, Blake Benoit, and Craig Robicheaux. Bart Benoit picked up the win. The offense for the Tigers were led by Byron Addison, Tom Baer, and O'dell Beckhan.
