August 7, 2011
In our 1st game at Bonnabel the Cubs defeated the Northshore Dodgers 11 - 2. Leading the Cubs offense were: Steve Ceravolo 3 fof 3, 2RBI; Dan Newman 3 for 4, 1RBI; Chip Loftin 2 for 3, 1DBL, 1RBI; Kevin Martin 2 for 3, 1RBI; Paul Mancuso 2 for 3. Paul Mancuso picked up the win pitching 5 innings with 11 strikeouts. Jeff Perez was 2 for 3 for the Dodgers.
Our 2nd game had the Tigers beating the Yankees 7 - 4. The Tigers could only muster up 3 hits, 2 by Byron Adison and 1 by Jody Simoneaux in leading the Tigers offense but that was enough to pull off the win. Tom Baer threw 7 innings to pick up the win for the Tigers. The Yankees spread out 10 hits over 8 innings with Darren Martin going 1 for 2, 2RBI.

In today's only two games, the Cubs swept a doubleheader from the Tigers 3 -2, and 3 - 0. both games were dominated by pitching. In the 1st game Paul Mancuso and Tim Flores locked arms. Paul threw 7 innings spreading out 6 hits, giving up 2 unearned runs, while striking out 13 players. Tim Flores gave up 3 runs, 1 earned, 8 hits and struck out 3. Leading the offense for the Cubs were: Steve Stropolo 3 for 3, 1RBI, Chip Loftin 1 for 1, 1DBL, with Steve Ceravolo, Allyn Hughes, Paul Mancuso, and Bart Molay each adding a hit for the Cubs. For the Tigers Harold Buoch was 2 for 2, Angel Ramirez was 2 for 3, 1RBI, Billy Bourgeois and Tim Flores added a hit apiece for the Tigers.
Our 2nd game at St. Charles saw yet another pitchers duel with the Cubs winning 3 - 0. Both teams could only get 4 hits each. The Cubs players with 1 hit each were: Allyn Hughes 1 for 2, 1RBI, Phil Leblanc 1 for 2, Kevin Martin 1 for 2, and John O'Reilly 1 for 2. Steve Stropolo had a sac fly to drive in 1 run in the 5th. Dan Newman picked up the win for the Cubs giving up 1 hit in 4 innings. The Tigers got hits from: Byron Addison, Tim Flores, Angel Ramirez, and Allen Rome. Tom Baer pitched all 7 innings giving up 3 runs, 2 earned, on 4 hits while striking out 3.

In our 1st game at Bonnabel this wet Sunday we saw the Thibodaux Cardinals defeat the Phillies 13 - 2. The Cardinals offense was led by: Travis Gros 3 for 3, 4RBI; Eric Waguespack 3 for 4; Anthony Hebert 2 for 3, 1DBL, 1RBI. Brian Cavalier picked up the win for the Cardinals. Leading the Phillies was Spencer Ott 2 for 3, 1RBI.
Our 2nd game had the Victory All Stars beating the Northshore Dodgers 6 - 2. Victory was led by: Leo Leblanc 2 for 3, 1RBI; and Wilson Winn 2 for 3, 1RBI. Eric Castle picked up the win for the All Stars. Wayne Messa, Ed Vollenweider, and Phil Wangerin all went 2 for 4 for the Dodgers.
WEEK 12
July 10, 2011
In our 1st game at Bonnabel the Tigers beat the Marlins 12 - 7. Leading the Tiger's offense were: Tim Flores 2 for 3, 1HR, !DBL, 4RBI; Rob Voros 2 for 2, 1RBI; Allen Rome 2 for 3, 1RBI; and Jodi Simoneaux 2 for 4, 3RBI. For the Marlins it was Lynn Brehm and Terry Duffy both going 2 for 3.
The 2nd game had the Phillies defeating the Dodgers 8 - 4. For the Phillies it was: Luis Bautista 2 for 2; Neal Nadler 2 for 3; and Jon Talbot 2 for 3; leading the way. Spencer Ott pitched a complete game in picking up the win. Leading the Northshore Dodgers were Miguel Torres 3 for 3; and Wayne Messa 2 for 2.
Our 3rd game saw the Cubs pound the All Stars 20 - 0. The Cubs had 24 hits while the Cubs allowed 1 hit in 9 innings. Pacing the Cubs were: John O'reilly 4 for 5, 1RBI; Greg Cahill 3 for 5, 3RBI; Steve Ceravolo 3 for 6, 1HR, 5RBI; Paul Mancuso 3 for 6, 2RBI; Dan Newman 3 for 6, 1HR, 2DBL, 3RBI. and Allyn Hughes 3 for 5. Paul Mancuso had 12 K's in 5 innings to pick up the win. Fred Alfred got the only hit for the All Stars.
Down in Thibodaux the Cardinals beat the Yankees 11 - 9.
